Rendition:
The original verses of this book have been composed in primarily Braja &
Avadhī dialects and the commentary known as Illuminating
Tendency (Prakāśikā-Vr̥tti) has been
written in a simple language. The booklet has not been made bulky so that the message
is understood easily by everyone|1|. If the message is easily understandable,
only then people in general will be able to accept devotion unto Gaurāṅga
Mahāprabhu and will become familiar with the pastimes and personality of Paṅcha-tattva||2|.
In this age of strife, those people who are not yet familar with the
Personality of Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu, for such people, this book has been
composed in Hiṅdī, Braja & Avadhī languages|3|.
Illuminating Tendency (Prakāśikā-Vr̥tti): This book presents the philosophical
conclusions of ‘Gaudīya Vaiṣṇava’ sect in a simple language, therefore it is
easy for the readers to understand this subject in a nutshell. It is correct to
call this booklet as ‘Beginners Guide for Gaudīya Vaiṣṇavism’ . In the
beginning, it will be generally difficult for the people to understand the
intricate subject matters elaborated in magnum opus compositions like
‘Chaitanya Bhāgavata’ & ‘Chaitanya Caritāmṛta’– for such people, this book
will be very helpful. But as a Rūpānuga devotional practitionar progresses in
the path of devotion, one must read the original compositions of the primeval
mentors of this sect.

Rendition:
Sun delivers its warmth and light to every living entity in same manner and
intensity– it does not differentiate between people of different races, gender
and nationalities|1| Similarly, this booklet is for the eternal good of every
living entity, it delivers the devotion in the servitor mood unto the
Personality of Gaurāṅga Mahāprabhu & cuts their bondage of illusion|2|
Illuminating Tendency (Prakāśikā-Vr̥tti)- All people are eligible for reading this book.
Therefore, this book is not limited to people belonging to a specific country,
gender, race or institution. Shrīla Bhaktivinoda ṭhākur mentions in Kṛṣṇa-Saṅhitā (8/22)– sampradāya virodhoayaṅ
dāvānalo vichintyate– the sectarian mood becomes forest fire which later
engulfs all devotional institutions and due to which the sincere Vaiṣṇava
devotees are not able to associate freely with the Vaiṣṇavas belonging to other
insitutions or sects, nor are they able to choose such Vaiṣṇavas as their
mentors or Gurus.
